Guidelines for participation
The general procedure for participation is as follows:
- Send in your proposal using the form found on the Conference page.
- You will receive a notification indicating that your summary has been accepted and you will be asked to send in your complete presentation.
- Your work will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee:
a) In the event that the Scientific Committee consider that changes are required in order to meet editorial guidelines, you will be notified by e-mail.
Once these corrections are made, the Scientific Committee will review your work again. Should editorial requirements still not be met, you may be required to make additional modifications. If your work is accepted by the Scientific Committee you will be notified by e-mail so that you may proceed to register all the participants in the presentation.
b) If it is accepted by the Scientific Committee without requiring that changes be made, you will be notified by e-mail and asked to proceed to register all of the participants in the presentation.
- Once we have verified that your paper has been accepted, and all of the authors who have signed the paper are registered for the Conference, the paper will be programmed for one of the sessions in the Conference.
- To present extra contributions, you must be registered for the Conference. In your Private Area, you will find a specific section to register all of your contributions.
- Remember that you can present as many extra contributions as you like. For this you need only select the number of extra contributions, and in what book you would like them to be published. In Registration, you will find all of the extra contributions.
- The Program, both the provisional and definitive, will be published on this web page once it is completed.
- As a participant in the conference, you will receive a series of certificates which you can find in the section on “Certificates”.
- A book of conference proceedings for the V International Conference on Specific Needs in Educational Support, Public Healthcare and Social Exclusion will be published.

Modalities for participation
1. IN PERSON
Conference participants may choose to attend the talks, workshops and round table activities planned during the conference in person.
Find below details regarding the type of participations included in the conference registration, oral communications, posters and symposiums:
POSTERS
Since all submitted posters will be displayed so that participants may admire them, it is not necessary to make a presentation of the poster. An e-mail address must appear on the poster so that those interested may write with questions and consultations. In order to participate in either of the two modalities, a PDF must be sent using the private area section.
In the section on Templates, you may access the template designed for your presentation. Submissions that do not follow the template guidelines will not be accepted. The summary will be published in the Proceedings of the Conference with an ISBN and a Legal Deposit Number. All of the authors of the Poster who are registered, will receive a Certificate of Oral Participation, Poster type, in the International Conference, with the title of the Poster.
ORAL COMUNICATIONS
Oral communications must be accompanied by a presentation and submitted in PDF format using the private area section. Length of the presentation: 10 minutes.
To participate in either of the two modalities, you must submit the complete text using the private area section.
In the section on Templates you will find the template designed for your presentation. Submissions that do not follow the template guidelines will not be accepted.
The summary will be published in the Proceedings of the Conference with an ISBN and a Legal Deposit Number. The complete text will be published in one of the books edited by La Universidad de Almería and Editorial Crecimiento Humano, and both will have and ISBN and Legal Deposit Number. All of the authors of the oral communication who are registered, will receive a Certificate of Oral Presentation in the International Conference, with the title of the Communication.
All of the authors of the Communication who are registered, will receive a Certificate of Book Chapter Author in Book with an ISBN and Legal Deposit Number, with the title of the Communication and other book information (Editor or editors, year Title, City of publication, Editorial, ISBN LD).
SYMPOSIUMS
In order to participate in either of the two modalities, participants must submit the complete texts using the private area section. A description of the different contents of the Symposium is mandatory. It will take place during the Conference, and must be accompanied by a presentation to be submitted also in PDF format using the private area section.
The presentation of the symposium will take place at the assigned time and room. In all cases, it is necessary that:
- All members be registered for the conference.
- The coordinator send the symposium proposal before the deadline so that it is reviewed by the Scientific Committee.
- Each one of the members of the symposium send in a summary of their presentation before the deadline.
- The Scientific Committee study each of the proposals and make a decision.
In the section on Templates you will find the template designed for your presentation. Submissions that do not follow the template guidelines will not be accepted.
If the proposals are not received within the deadline, the summaries will be published in one of the Conference Proceedings. The summary will be published in the Conference Proceeds with an ISBN and Legal Deposit number. The complete text of the communication will be published in one of the books edited by La Universidad de Almería and Editorial Crecimiento Humano, and both will have and ISBN and Legal Deposit Number.
All of the authors of the Symposium who are registered and present either in person or online, will receive a Certificate of Presentation in the International Conference, with the title of the Communication.
All of the authors of the Symposium who are registered, will receive a Certificate of Book Chapter Author in Book with an ISBN and Legal Deposit Number, with the title of the Communication and other book information (Editor or editors, year Title, City of publication, Editorial, ISBN LD).
VERY IMPORTANT
The coordinator of the symposium and each participant, AUTHORISE the video recording of all of the presentations that take place during the in-person sessions of the conference. In the same way, they GRANT the conference organizers the right to reproduce, showcase and store recorded material to disseminate in the conference´s web site.
Since the Conference also takes place ON LINE, this means that many persons can only access the content through recordings. Should the coordinator or any of the members of the Symposium making a presentation not authorize the recording, this will mean losing all rights (publication, certificates etc.).
2. ONLINE
In this modality, conference participants will access the different activities taking place during the conference virtually. Find below details regarding the type of participations included with the conference registration, oral communications, posters and symposiums:

SYMPOSIUMS
In order to participate in either of the two modalities, participants must submit the complete texts using the private area section. The coordinator sends in the proposal for the symposium before the deadline so that it reviewed by the Scientific Committee.
Each member of the Symposium submits a summary of their presentation before the deadline. All members must be registered for the Conference. The Scientific Committee will study all the proposals and will decide. Once the presentations are approved by the Scientific Committee, each member of the symposium sends in the complete text using the private area section.
In the section on Templates, you may access the template designed for your presentation. Submissions that do not follow the template guidelines will not be accepted. All of the members of the Symposium record a video of their complete presentation. The coordinator presents the symposium and each of the participants makes their presentation with or without the use of slides, following the order of appearance on the platform.
Each of the participants using slides in their presentation, submits the slides using the platform before the beginning of Conference. A SIGNED AUTHORIZATION MUST BE SUBMITTED by all of the members of the symposium granting the reproduction and storage of the video recording on the website.
If complete proposals are not received within the deadline, the summaries will be published in one of the Conference Proceedings. The summary will be published in the Conference Proceedings with an ISBN and Legal Deposit number.
The complete text will be published in one of the books edited by La Universidad de Almería and Editorial Crecimiento Humano, and both will have and ISBN and Legal Deposit Number. All of the authors of the Symposium who are registered and who deliver their presentation either in person or on-line, will receive a Certificate of Presentation in the International Conference, with the title of the Communication.
All of the registered authors of the Symposium will receive a Certificate of Book Chapter Author in Book with an ISBN and Legal Deposit Number, with the title of the Communication and other book information (Editor or editors, year Title, City of publication, Editorial, ISBN LD).

Student Registration: Master's, Doctorate, Degree.
a) Student Registration: Master’s, Doctorate or Degree includes the option of presenting 1 communication or poster which will be published by either the Editorial Universidad de Almería or by Editorial Crecimiento Humano depending on what the Scientific Committee decides.
b) The maximum number of authors for each communication or poster is five (5).
c) All the contributing authors must be registered for the Conference.
d) A book of Conference proceedings for the V International Conference on Specific Needs in Educational Support, Public Healthcare and Social Exclusion will be published.
Regular Registration
a) Regular Registration allows each author to present 3 communications or posters which will be published in a book edited by either Editorial Universidad de Almería or Editorial Crecimiento Humano. The scientific Committee will determine where the publication is to be made.
b) The maximum number of authors per communication or poster is five (5).
c) All the contributing authors must be registered for the Conference.
d) A book of Conference proceedings for the V International Conference on Specific Needs in Educational Support, Public Social and Health Care and Social Exclusion will be published.
Symposium Registration
a) Presentations or Symposiums with prior consent from the Scientific Committee, may be submitted as long as there are five members registered. (For Symposiums with five members, the fee for one registration will be deducted).
b) Symposiums will consist of roundtable events with five (5) registered people whose oral communications will each last 15 minutes.
c) There will be “guest” presentations and symposiums and other free request presentations which will require approval from the Executive Scientific Committee.
d) The Symposium Registration also includes:
- 1 Communication/poster which will be published by Editorial Universidad de Almería.
- 2 book chapters that will be published by Editorial Dykinson.
- The opportunity to figure as part of the Scientific Committee with a certificate of participation.
e) A book of proceeds from the V International Conference on Specific Needs in Educational Support, Public Healthcare and Social Exclusion will be published.
Extra contributions
Conference members are free to choose the number of chapters in which they wish to participate as authors or co-authors, and choose where they wish to be published.
In order to simplify the following explanations, all chapters to be published either by Editorial Octaedro or Editorial Dykinson will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee may ask for whatever changes and improvements it deems necessary to guarantee the quality of publications.
The options for extra contributions are the following:
- 1 chapter Editorial Octaedro
- 1 chapter Editorial Dykinson
- 1 chapter Editorial Octaedro + 1 chapter Editorial Dykinson
- 2 chapters Editorial Dykinson
- 2 chapters Editorial Dykinson +1 chapter Editorial Octaedro
- 3 chapters Editorial Dykinson
For the publication of the extra contributions all of the authors must have paid the fees outlined in the section “Extra Contributions” and be registered for the Conference. The maximum number of authors for each contribution is five (5).
REMEMBER THAT YOU CAN MAKE AS MANY EXTRA CONTRIBUTIONS AS YOU LIKE.
General considerations
- In order for a communication, a poster or a symposium to be part of the Conference, all of its authors must have registered and paid the registration fees. For extra contributions, all of the authors must pay for their contributions.
- Communications and Symposiums have the option of being published in an issue of The Electronic Journal of Research in Educational Psychology with the approval of the Scientific Committee and the editors of the journal.
- All of the accepted summaries for poster type presentations will be published. in a digital book with an ISBN and legal deposit number.
- The name of all the authors will appear on the certificates.
- The Scientific Committee and/ or the publishing committee for journals reserves the right to ask for as many corrections as deemed necessary for the publication of all of the contributions, including the extra contributions, as previously explained.
